Teaching at Patchway College was a complete delight. It was a 10 week course subsidised by The Fusion Festival and went by all too quickly. Great students made for an interesting and varied course.
Life Drawing – My Dad

As part of my 10 week Art Class at Patchway Community College I taught a week of Life Drawing where my dad was a willing (and cheap) model. This was a sketch drawn to illustrate that line work can be simple, it’s what you leave out that can make a drawing work.
The Gathering of the Winds book published for Fusion Festival 2012

Through a mix of storytelling and art, we encouraged the children from eight schools in Patchway and the surrounding areas to invent ‘windy characters’, personifications of the wind, with wonderfully vivid results. The eight stories in this book were each grown from seeds planted by the pupils themselves. They have then been interpreted by Martin and Matt to form ’The Gathering of the Winds’.
