Here we are..approximately 10 years after my very first self portrait, a lot has happened to me since then. I was lead artist and brand champion for Hallmark (Forever Friends) worked as a Disney artist at Portico developed, designed and was Art director at a company called ‘F.A.B’, headhunted as creative director of Paper House GBC then finally made redundant after ‘the crash’ in 2008 and through that terrible time I re-invented myself as the artist I am today. My style has changed, my outlook has changed, my ‘trust’ has changed, my life has changed but.. my passion for my art remains the same.. thank you for all of your support through the years.
Onwards! lets see what I look like in another 10 years.

Matthew was asked to host a two day event by MOONPIG as a team building and bonding exercise for the creative department. One day was spent with a life model (Andy) and the second day exploring colour and contemporary art. It was a lot of tight organisation but the sun shone and everything went perfectly to plan. These events are excellent for CORPORATE TEAM BUILDING within large companies or as specialist BIRTHDAY functions or even HEN parties!! If you would like to know more, contact Matt on 07773 817 631.

This includes a Christmas range, so Artists & Illustrators Magazine have featured one of his pieces on their December cover, they also include an interview with Matt inside on the logistics of illustrating ‘Characters’ for Christmas.
Happy Christmas everyone!

Matt was commissioned to replicate four famous paintings of the King Georges for Shorthose Russell’s big ad campaign around Bath for the 2014 summer season.
This was to unite all of the museums in Bath on a kind of treasure hunt of knowledge for the Holburne, American Museum and the like. The images were used on a whole host of ads and publicity.
Here are just a couple of them. The main Window display can be seen on Matt’s Products page and the image of King George IV can be seen in the Gallery.

Artist’s and Illustrator’s held their second Artist’s of the Year exhibition at The Mall galleries in London with the Private View and Winners presentations last night. Out of over 1,000 entries my piece (Campbell) was selected into the top 50 and came fourth as judged by a panel of artists and experts. It’s only the second piece I have ever entered into a competition and I was extremely proud to be there and to have the recognition. Thanks to all of you for your great support, after a tough couple of years it means a lot. The exhibition will run at the galleries until noon on January the 19th and is open to the general public.
